​Yorkshire and Humber Teacher Training are seeking to appoint an Apprenticeship Assessor for level 3 apprenticeships. The post is 24 hours per week, term time. This must include full days on Thursdays and Fridays. The working pattern for the remaining hours can be arranged to suit the successful candidate.

The Apprenticeship Assessor will work closely with the Apprenticeship Manager and the Head of Apprenticeships to manage a caseload of learners to successfully achieve targets, delivering the Level 3 Teaching Assistant and Level 3 Early Years Educator standards and supports the delivery of the Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship and functional skills Maths and English.
The successful candidate will have experience within a teaching, learning and/or assessment role. Ideally they will have delivered Apprenticeship Standards previously and hold or be working towards an Assessor qualification.
Applicants should be proactive, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with strong organisational and administrative abilities.
The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence, have own car and be willing to travel to schools within Hull.

Yorkshire and Humber Teacher Training (YHTT) are looking to appoint lead mentors to support their cohorts of trainee teachers. Recruitment will commence in 2025/26, with the first cohort of trainee teachers starting in September 2026. We are looking for lead mentors for the following subject areas:

Physical Education
Their main role is to provide subject specific support and guidance to trainee teachers and their in-school mentors to enable the trainee teachers to develop into outstanding practitioners. For further details, please see the attached job description.
Subject specific training will be delivered in 9 subject specific training days across the training year. Within the specified weeks there is flexibility as to which day the subject training is delivered. Lead mentors will also participate in the recruitment process, taking overall responsibility for the recruitment of their subject cohort.
An Additional Payment of £1250 is payable to the employing school for 2025/26 for the development of the subject curriculum (9 days). From September 2026 lead mentors will receive £350 per trainee per term and £250 per term for participating in the interview and selection process. Again, this will be paid as an Additional Payment to the employing school.

The Apprenticeship Manager will successfully manage a caseload of learners to successfully achieve targets, delivering the Level 3 Teaching Assistant, the Level 3 Early Years Educator and Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant standards including functional skills, Maths and English, level 2.
​
The successful candidate will have experience within a teaching, learning and/or assessment role, delivering Apprenticeship Frameworks and/or Standards and hold an Assessor qualification or be working towards the Assessor qualification.
​
Good working knowledge of the role of teaching assistants in schools is essential. Applicants should be proactive, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with strong organisational and administrative abilities. The role combines administrative, pastoral and apprenticeship tasks.

The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence, have own car and be willing to travel to schools within Hull to visit the apprentices at their place of employment.
