Participants on one of our English courses have access to the KS3, GCSE and they all incorporate Virtual Lessons, examples of structured English Language and English Literature lessons.
Also included is our GCSE Advanced English Literature module, a four week (100 hour) set of focussed recordings and assessments. All English participants will have access to this module, some as a core module, others as an optional module.
You will enjoy access to all of this for two further years following completion of your course.

Eligibility and enrolling on a course
SKE courses in English are not funded by the DfE in 2024/25 for those starting teacher training in September 2025.

English- 8 week (200 hours)
​ACCELERATED GCSE SKE
Our Accelerated GCSE course is ideal for candidates needing to boost or refresh their subject knowledge to GCSE level.
The 8-week or 200-hour course is structured to take trainees through the DfE specifications up to GCSE. Trainees have access to many optional modules that they are free to use to supplement their learning.

Our English Enhanced GCSE with Advanced English Literature Subject Knowledge Enhancement is aimed at Trainees who need some extra study time and focus on the classics taught at GCSE English Literature.
